The 2018-2019 application is now available!
  • Step One:

Submit an application. Applications must be submitted prior to the scheduling of any tours or meetings, but it is possible to update your program preferences and applicant pool (Regular Admissions vs. Early Admissions) after your visit. All such changes must be received in advance of the relevant deadline.

    • A fee of $75 is required to process each application.
    • Applications may be scanned and emailed to, mailed to 77 Reade Street, or dropped off in person.

  • Step Two:

An admissions representative will contact you to schedule a tour (Regular Admissions) OR a tour and parent meeting (Early Admissions).

Fall parent meetings are reserved for those families who apply via Early Admissions; should you decide to move your application into that pool, an admissions representative will then reach out to schedule a parent meeting. Regrettably, we are unable to guarantee a parent meeting with all Regular Admissions applicants, even if an application has been submitted prior to the January 26th deadline. After our Early Admissions process has ended in late 2017, our team will contact each family who has applied via Regular Admissions to either schedule a parent meeting or provide notification that the requested programs have been filled to capacity.

    • Tours are for adults only.
    • Maximum one tour per family.
    • Tours last approximately 45 minutes.
    • Tours take place at either 77 Reade Street or 104 Reade Street, depending on the program to which you have applied.

Reade Street Prep's tour season runs from mid-October through mid-February.
  • Step Three:

Early Admissions notifications are distributed via email in mid-December. Regular Admissions notifications are distributed via email in mid-February.

  • Admissions FAQ:
Is there a birthday cutoff date for Reade Street Prep applicants?
Yes. Our age policy requires that, by September 30th of the year they would enter the program, children must be: Between 18 and 26 months for the Preschool Prep Program Between 2 and 3.5 years old for the Explorers Program Between 3.5 and 5 years old for the Discoverers Program
How do the Early Admissions and Regular Admissions processes differ?
Reade Street Prep has two application cycles: Early Admissions and Regular Admissions. Early Admissions families submit applications - and accordingly, receive their admissions notifications - prior to Regular Admissions families. Early Applicants are in the first pool to which we extend offer letters; as such, they enjoy an increased rate of acceptance to their first choice of program. The process is also binding: if a student is offered admission to a first choice of program during Early Admissions, he or she must withdraw all applications and decline all offers from other schools.
Do any applications have priority in the admissions process?
Yes. We are committed to offering seats to those families whose educational beliefs align with ours. As such, siblings of enrolled students do receive priority in our admissions process. We also extend priority to Early Admissions applicants, as these families have designated Reade Street Prep as their first choice for their children's preschool.
Does Reade Street Prep have a wait list?
Yes. Each year, we receive applications from more candidates than we are able to accommodate. Those children who are not offered a seat due to the constraints of our class sizes are, therefore, added to wait lists for all age-appropriate programs. Should openings become available, Reade Street Prep notifies wait list candidates by email and/or phone.
